Day Care Centre
Our new Day Care Centre, opened since 2018 is located in Gort na Creige, Cregboy, Claregalway. Here we provide the highest standard of care for our service users from Monday to Friday each week. We rely completely on fundraising and donations from the community and we are extremely grateful for your continued support. Our centre allows the elderly members of our community to come here and have a real sense of joy and the feel of being part of something wonderful.
Never Too Old
The ‘Never Too Old’ Charity Shop was opened in July 2012. It is entirely run by local volunteers so 100% of the profits go directly to the Claregalway & District Day Care Centre (CDDCC).
We welcome any donations you are willing to give, such as clothing, furniture, bric a brac, books, craft supplies and anything else you can think of! Please note we are unable to accept electrical goods.
Drop in, you might just pick up a bargain!
Fundraising is an integral part of our organisation and without it we would not be able to provide the services that we do. We are forever grateful for all donations and volunteer work carried out by the extremely generous public and groups such as the Clareriver Harriers. Thanks to the fundraising and a help from organisations such as Western Alzheimer’s, St. Vincent De Paul, Galway County Council, the HSE & Rural Development we have been able to do a lot more. In 2018, with the help of the County Council we were able to build 14 houses for people in dyer need of housing. The completion of our new building here in Claregalway where we provide care for our service users on a daily basis has also been a major boost for us and we cannot thank all those that have helped enough.
Willing to Volunteer?
If you have time to spare, we can always do with help in and around the centre. It can be your trade, your kindness or your willingness to lend a hand.
FETAC Level 5 carers and general volunteers are always welcome.
Along with our Day Care Centre we would also be grateful for any volunteer work in our charity shop Never Too Old. You can head over to our charity shops page to find more information.
